Terms of Use

In short: Mshika-shika is a game built on top of Deriv. It is for adults only. Practice money is free and worth nothing. Real-money loads are real Deriv trades, and you can lose the money you stake. We are an independent Deriv partner, not Deriv, and we earn money when you trade.
1. Who we are
Mshika-shika is run by Lazarus Marwisa, an independent partner of Deriv based in Zimbabwe ("we", "us"). We are not Deriv, we are not part of Deriv, and we do not speak for Deriv. Deriv is a separate company that provides the trading accounts, prices and contracts the game uses.
2. Who can play
- You must be 18 or older.
- You may only use real money if trading like this is legal where you live. Deriv's services are not available in some countries. It is your job to check your local rules.
- Your Deriv account is governed by Deriv's own terms, which you agreed to when you opened it.
3. How the game works
- Practice money is kept only on your device. It has no value, cannot be withdrawn, and can reset if you clear your browser.
- Deriv demo balance is Deriv's own virtual money. It has no value either.
- Real balance: every load is a real Accumulator contract on Deriv's Volatility 100 (1s) Index, bought and settled by Deriv in your own Deriv account. Deriv decides every price and every result. We never hold your money.
- Passengers, officers and clamps are just pictures of what is happening to the contract. Deriv's records are the final word on every result.
4. Risk warning
Accumulators are high-risk. The price can break out of the safe zone at any moment, and when it does, the whole stake is lost. Over time, most people who play these contracts lose money. Past runs do not predict future ones. Only stake money you can afford to lose. Nothing in this game is financial advice.
5. Departing, connections and delays
- When you tap Depart, the sale happens on Deriv's next price tick. The load can still be clamped in that short moment.
- If your connection drops during a real-money load, the load keeps running on Deriv and cannot be cancelled. The game shows the result when you reconnect.
- In practice mode, a load interrupted by a dropped connection is cancelled and refunded.
6. Hwindis (automatic loading)
- When you hire a hwindi, he starts loads for you with your chosen stake and departs after a set number of passengers (Fatso 3, Jonso 5, Widzo 10).
- On real and demo accounts, his exit is set on Deriv itself as a take-profit, so it still happens if your phone sleeps.
- He stops by himself after 3 clamps in a row, or once his shift has lost 20 times the stake. These limits cannot be changed.
- Every load a hwindi starts is your trade, and you are responsible for it. You can stop him at any time; he finishes the current load first.
7. How we earn money
We are paid by Deriv. We may receive a commission when you sign up through the game, and a markup of up to 3% is built into the price of contracts bought through the game. This markup is already included in the prices you see. It is not charged separately.
8. Competitions and prizes
There are no prizes unless we announce a competition with its own written rules. Prizes, if any, are paid by us, not by Deriv.
9. Fair play
Do not tamper with the game, cheat, overload it, copy it, or pretend to be us. Only use the official game address. We will never ask for your Deriv password: you always sign in on Deriv's own page.
10. Availability and changes
The game depends on Deriv and on our hosting, and it may be slow, change or go offline without notice. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms.
11. Our responsibility
The game is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for trading losses, for Deriv's services, or for problems caused by your device or connection. Nothing here removes rights you have under the law that cannot be removed.
12. Artwork and content
The game's characters, artwork and code belong to us. Please do not copy them without permission.
13. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
14. Contact
Use the Report a problem link inside the game's help screen to reach us.
