Privacy Policy

In short: we don't ask for your name, email or password. Your practice data stays on your own device. When you log in with Deriv, we only use a short-lived pass to show your balances and place the loads you ask for. We don't sell data and we don't show adverts.

1. Who looks after your data

Mshika-shika is run by Lazarus Marwisa, an independent Deriv partner in Zimbabwe. Deriv is responsible for your Deriv account and the data in it, under Deriv's own privacy policy.

2. What stays on your device

The game saves a few things in your browser so they're there next time: your practice balance, your recent loads ("My loads"), your chosen vehicle and stake, sound on or off, your hwindi settings, and whether you've seen the instructions. This never leaves your device. Clearing your browser's site data deletes it.

3. When you log in with Deriv

You sign in on Deriv's own page. We never see your password.
Deriv gives the game a temporary access pass. It's kept in a locked cookie that the game's own code cannot read, and it expires on its own, usually within an hour. Logging out deletes it straight away.
With that pass we only fetch your account numbers, balances and currency, and we buy or sell the loads you ask for. The pass only allows trading. It cannot withdraw money or change your account details.
We don't keep a database of players, balances or trades. Your trading history lives with Deriv.

4. Signing up through the game

If you create a Deriv account through the game, Deriv collects your details on its own site. The link carries our partner code, so Deriv knows you came from us. We don't receive your personal details from that.

5. Hosting and security

The game runs on Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information such as your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks.

6. If you contact us

If you send us a problem report on WhatsApp, we see your number and whatever you choose to send, including the technical details the report includes. We use it only to fix the problem.

7. What we don't do

No adverts and no advertising trackers.
We don't sell or share your data.
We don't knowingly allow anyone under 18 to play.

8. Your choices

You can log out at any time, clear your browser's site data to remove everything stored on your device, and ask us any question about your data. We aim to follow Zimbabwe's data protection law.

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version. To reach us, use the Report a problem link in the game's help screen.
